    Great Wedding Restaurant, Average Hotel

    Traveler rating:3 2017-11

We stayed at this hotel because we were invited to a wedding lunch here. The wedding restaurant was great. Great view, scenery, food. We reached at around 11am and checked in around 3:30pm after the wedding lunch. And it all went down hill afterwards. The room had some really old decor, and very dark (which might appeal to certain demographic but...definitely not us). It felt depressing. Around 7pm, we were hungry and lazy and tried to order room service and guess what? THERE IS NO ROOM SERVICE. We called the hotel reception and he told us they basically don't send food to the room. Wow, we were pretty amazed to be honest. We walked down for the chinese restaurant inside the hotel. The whole hotel was really quiet and empty, and the restaurant was really empty too (I think most people were here just for the wedding lunch). The food wasn't very good. We asked the restaurant manager what to do if we were hungry after 9:30pm (the restaurant closing time) and he told us the only option we have is taking a 10-15 mins taxi to downtown YangMei's FamilyMart. Yikes. When the night comes, the room was really cold. There was a "heating" option in the air conditioner but all it did was blowing cold air. It was probably then we regretted our decision of staying at Sunrise Golf. Uh well, lesson learned: come only for the wedding lunch, and go back to Taipei city for better hotel.

Great location for offsite business meeting

    Traveler rating:5 2016-10

Pros. Nice, large bedrooms. Hardwood floors, nice bathrooms and comfortable beds. Fantastic golf course, practice range etc. discounts offered for people staying at hotel. Peaceful location on top of hill away from Hsinchu Cons. Limited dining and bar options and no other amenities within walking distance.

Lovely hotel. My wife and I were here for a conference. Very nice, spacious rooms. Friendly staff. Very good breakfast buffet. Unfortunately, we had no time for golf, but the course looked amazing. This was the site of many professional tournaments and has a nice display of antique golf equipment.

    Nice location, beautiful golf course

    Traveler rating:4 2015-11

This is a nice resort located near the Taipei airport. It has a beautiful golf course. It has lots of banquet halls and seems to be a place for events. Rooms are very good and spacious and the prices are fairly reasonable. Ignore the rates on their website and give the hotel a call for much better prices or just book on a third party website.

    The WOW experience

    Traveler rating:5 2013-01

As if the beautiful surroundings and the lush green scenery wasn't enough the room was the icing on the cake. BIG, spacious, luxurious and a complete value for every cent. I enjoyed living, though the shops and the crowd of Taipei was missed.
