    Daxi Old Street is mainly centered on Heping Old Street. Old Baroque-style buildings and delicious food hidden in the alleys enriches your visit to the old street. At the end of old street is Daxi Zhongzheng Park, which is a must-see destination in the area.

    Once the largest reservoir in the Far East region, Shihmen Reservoir is currently one of the most important reservoirs in northern Taiwan. Shihmen Reservoir is reputed for its beautiful lake and mountain views all year round and therefore offers a wide range of activities for its visitors.

    As a new tourist attraction near Shihmen Reservoir, Sankeng Eco Park has a nearly 3-hectare eco-lake, 2 hectares of lawn and a wide variety of recreational facilities, including eco-ponds, wooden paths, wooden arch bridges and pavilions.

    Jiaobanshan (Mt. Jiaoban) is the starting point of the North Cross-Island Highway and the picturesque scenery of Dahan River and Shihmen Reservoir makes it the favorite attraction for tourists. Besides overlooking the Xikou Terrace from Jiaobanshan Residence, visitors can take a stroll to Jiaobanshan Park, where two giant banyan trees planted by Mr. Chiang Kai-Shek and Madame Chiang hold each other and becomes a must-visit spot in the park.

    Cihu Mausoleum is known as the final resting place of the former President Chiang Kai-Shek. As a formerly forbidden area, Cihu retains precious ecological resources and keeps primitive and natural. Besides beautiful lake views, the fiery red maple leaves in autumn and winter makes Cihu even more charming. In addition, Cihu Memorial Sculpture Park displays statues of President Chiang that have been donated by schools or institutions throughout Taiwan and attracts visitors from far and near.

    The Republic of Chocolate was built together by the architecture team of National Museum of Marine Biology and Aquarium, and the construction team of the Butterfly Hall of Flora Expo. Besides integrating the essence of chocolate and the concept of virtual reality, the Republic of Chocolate is also an eco-building constructed by environmental friendly materials with modern simple designs. Because of its unique outward appearance, the Republic of Chocolate was the main filming location for the idol drama "Ti Amo Chocolate."
