Tong Ho Music Museum(東和音樂體驗館)
From the small woodworking factory of ten employees, fast forward thirty years, it has become Japanese Kawai Piano’s manufacturer and general agent in Taiwan. Tong He Musical Instrument developed the domestic learning market for the "upright piano." The third generation operators established the Tong He Music Museum to shine lights on the developmental process of "local piano." In doing so, imperceptibly the willingness to learn music and to play piano are promoted throughout Taiwan.
In order to accommodate different needs, the course of "music journey" is divided into elementary school students, kindergarten students, or music class students. In the case of kindergarten students, the course is based on instruments that are easy to learn and understand. With proper guidance, students get to personally operate and experience the theory behind how the sounds are made in instruments. The hope is to transform students’ initial awareness into motivation to learn to play instruments.
With these foundations, plus the sound experience and the interaction of musical games led by Tong He teachers, students will gradually have rich music knowledge, expression and creativity.

Fun and informative visit for childrenThis is a factory manufacturing Kawaii pianoes. They opened it up as a factory tour, explaining in details how a piano is being made. There are several parts of the tour. Included in the admission fee is a D-I-Y of either the harmonica, recorder or miniature display piano. First part of the tour is the D-I-Y. They also taught us how to blow the harmonica. Then they showed and explained the various components of the piano, allowing us to touch and experiment with the different tones and sounds of the components. After that, they led us to a room filled with recycled items like pots and pans, drums etc, and let us experienced the various sounds these items made when we hit or drum them. The kids had a fun time running around and hitting these instruments. Last part is the factory tour, which they showed the pianoes at different completion stage. Overall a very fun and informative trip for the kids.
